My New Favorite Rug

Rugs USA gifted me this rug, but all opinions are my own.

It can be so hard to buy a rug online.

Sometimes I have spent months looking for the right rug…and something tells me I might not be alone in that.

You look at the pictures on a website and you’re trying to figure out if the colors will work in your home (not to mention what is the right size for your room…). The easiest thing for me is when I see a room put together that I love and then use it as inspiration. It helps give me the confidence I can do something similar.

We just got a new rug from Rugs USA for our basement renovation and I love it. I thought I would share in case you are like me and need to see a rug in a room to help visualize if you would like it in your home. The colors are beautiful and I think would be beautiful in lots of different spaces!

We are still slowly making our way through the One Room Challenge (which is why the room isn’t finished yet).

The color on the wall here is Benjamin Moore Caldwell green, but I think lots of dark greens would look lovely with this rug too. I also love seeing the rug against the lighter walls too (Behr Sculptor’s clay is the trim).

Beige Fading Herati Medallion Area Rug

I think this is actually our 5th or 6th Rugs USA rug in our house. I discovered them in a search years ago and they have been my go-to for rugs. They are very reasonably priced and I have been happy with the quality.

One of my other favorites is this RugsUSA rug that we have in the living room. It is a little thicker and cozy for our family room. (Medallion Center Rug - I think we have coral!) Wall color is Wrought Iron by Benjamin Moore.

Orange Center Medallion

I get a lot of questions about jute rugs in our home. This one is my favorite that we have in our living room & it’s a great one for layering. Linked here.

Natural Jute Braided Area Rug

I’ll update more as we finish up our guest suite, but if you are looking for an affordable rug, I have tagged some of the ones we have and some of my favorites from RugsUSA.
