We are Katie & Philip, a husband + wife team living in Virginia.

Mostly, Katie here, but Philip is the one that helps make most of ideas come to life.

We have three kids that we are crazy enough about to choose to homeschool a few days a week. Philip and I love being together at home with a cup of coffee or red wine.

We love old houses + loved living in an 1800s home in the North Shore of Boston. In 2019, we bought a fixer upper in Blacksburg, Virginia that is our biggest project yet. The main house is a big project, but the property has an income property attached that we have converted to an apartment.

In 2020, we bought an airstream & sold it shortly after finishing it. Apparently, we are not outdoorsy people, which honestly came as no surprise to anyone that knows us.

In 2022, we bought a tiny beach cottage in Cape Charles, Virginia and have been slowly working on that project. The next summer we added one more place at Cape Charles because we can’t sit still apparently.

Philip currently works with students with special needs through Young Life & is a realtor in Virginia, runs Townside Property Management and is a licensed contractor.

We try to get most of our projects on our blog - but we are on instagram almost everyday.
