First Floor Bathroom Update: ORC Week 3 & 4

Blogging is one of those things I would love to do, but easily gets bumped from my to do list. So here is a week 3 & 4 update.

Week Three of the One Room Challenge, I debated about colors for the trim. This is one reason I can’t recommend a local paint company enough. I love our local Benjamin Moore and Cathy is so helpful in seeing my vision and helping me find a color.

First she color matched the green from the leaf of the wallpaper, but we decided the tone did not compliment the tile well.

I found some inspiration from Pinterest and decided to try Benjamin Moore Millstone Gray, which I never guessed would read so green.

Then this past week we dove into wallpapering with this incredible pattern by Hygge & West and Schoolhouse.

This is a traditional wallpaper that requires paste and although it was intimidating to start, I found it easy to adjust to. This method is a little easier to adjust the paper.

And this is how we are finishing the week.

Countertops go in this week. Lights start to get installed. Moulding on the ceiling and trim on the ground. We are actually rounding the corner on this project pretty quickly because we plan to leave the floors as is for now.

We moved in to our house and the first floor bathroom looked like this…Except the paneling was dark wood (we painted that before I took a picture.)
