Kitchen Renovation: Measurements, Countertops & Colors

Rounding up some kitchen details that might be helpful to you! Let me know in the comments if there is anything additional that would be helpful!

What’s the color of the cabinets?

  • This is the cabinet we chose from Medallion & we swapped the drawers for flat slabs. The color is called Buff, but we also color matched the trim at Benjamin Moore and this was the name. Our trim is the color match. The CLOSEST color match I have found is White Sand by Benjamin Moore.

  • Also, if you can remember I stressed about the color being wrong a lot. It’s great. Colors really shift when you bring all the materials in together.

Dimensions….

This is our largest walkway at 46” wide(pictured above). Also of note, I worried about the window floating not above a cabinet and I think it works fine. I do not think this is too far apart. It’s been so nice to have space to walk around each other in the kitchen.

Between the range and the island we have 42” and enjoy the space to walk around.

I followed guidelines like these and then started by centering our lights and doing the math to place them. The lights are about 28” apart globe to globe.

Our window is 6ft long x 4ft high and below I’m including the breakdown of each window. The right ones are casement and the middle is fixed.
